Hey, hey,...Just a while! When I had lost the hope of finding something good in the big screen, this tape turned up.This time the tandem Dicaprio, I must say im not his biggest fan, Scorsese joined together to come into the light this project, unlikely the ultimate masterpiece, but undoubtfully a good shot.
Sun shines again!.
I´m not saying that the film will get straight into the top 10 of hits ever, but it have definitively broken down an unsuscesfull row of cinema and entertaiment events I got involved.
The tale of a marshall who cames into an obscure mental sanatory for criminal insanes set up on a island, in order to investigate the vanish of a dangerous prisioner is the beginning of this maze.
Researches come from one point to other, and the investigation mixes up with the past of the detective, one of the liberators of the Dachau concentracion camp, and recently widowed young. From here the loop of the events will guide us through unexpected steps.
The film keeps the attention of the audience from the very first minute, and the thrilling of the plot is dramatically and why not saying, brilliantly increasing.
Really nice work, casting, photography, lighting, costume..for first time since a long period I can really admit the ticket is worthy.
And one suggestion don´t spend your time making guesses the end is unpredictable.

Oye!!! ¿dónde andas?
Estoy contigo, aunque yo no soy un cinéfilo (¿se dice así?) en cuanto a directores y actores, "sólo me gusta el cine", cuando las circunstancias me lo permiten, y esta película "me gustó cuando acabé de verla", mientras la veía, y sobre todo al principio, me aburría por su falta de punch, es como los combates de boxeo que están los doce asaltos nada más que golpeándose pero sin que haya golpes claros, donde no se aprecia el daño que se le está haciendo al adversario hasta que no ves que ya, cuando está a punto de sonar el gong, cae a la lona.
Este ritmo golpeante de situaciones y de momentos críticos, sin que tengas claro quién es el que está recibiendo los golpes, es lo mejor de esta película, a parte de los aspectos técnicos de "creación de atmósfera".
